The Royal Throne

Da, da, da, dun! What is that noise you say? That is the musical sound of success! That’s right. Joshua just took his first self-initiated pee-pee on the potty. Can I hear a woot? Sorry, no pics for this.

    Andy,
First of all, my condolences to you. It was a long, hard road for all of us. He was in his cast for a total of 6 weeks. He did not have to have his cast reset, which was great. They set his leg shorter and at his 6 week check-up he had a 1/2″ deficiency, which the doctor said was great. He said the leg typically grows about 9 mm in one year as the bone continues to heal. He said he we will be able to tell more at the 1 year check-up what the true deficiency will be, but that the legs do not need to be completely the same as many people have somewhat a difference between legs/hips, etc. He does have a slight limp still, but as time has gone on he is doing all of the normal activities that he has done previously. He is walking and running at near normal. He has not had any other complications. We feel he was extremely blessed in his healing and continues to be blessed. I hope all goes well for you and your family. Let me know if I can help you with anything else!
